  7. Digitran's Production and Workover Simulator (PAWS) is a hardware/software
  8. training environment that offers realistic hands-on training in typical
  9. production and workover operations. Students learn procedures such as: forward
  10. and reverse circulation, resevoir flow testing, bullheading, lubrication and
  11. bleeding, formation testing and fracturing, pressure testing, acidizing, and
  12. handling equipment failures and emergency situations. Digitran also offers
  13. optional training packages for carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery wells and
  14. dioxide injection wells, among others. PAWS is available in both full-size and
  15. portable versions. The full size version has a realistic workover manifold,
  16. pumping unit, and production tree. The protable version combines the full-size
  17. components into a single student's console and choke panel. Both versions come
  18. with a complete instructor's console that includes a PC, hard drive, floppy
  19. drive, monitor, and keyboard. For the instructor, a DigiGraphics monitor to
  20. display color manifold configuration and downhole well cross-section is
  21. optional.
